In 2008, Midwest Music moved to its new location at 15977 Clayton Road in Clarkson Valley, MO, formerly the home of the United Methodist Church of Ellisville. Also making the transition from another location was the St. Ann Music Publishing Company owned and operated by Bob and Ann Waggoner. Jerry Roberts and Matthew Kovis then established the Midwest Music Conservatory at the new site.
It is our mission at the Conservatory to be the standard bearer for private music education in the state of Missouri, offering both contemporary and traditional approaches to our constituency. We are interested in growing a student base that is well-rounded in its musical outlook by supporting interest with a framework for music’s fundamentals through a flexible curriculum of progressive studies for the individual, ensemble and the classroom. Passing on musical information is not enough for a learner to develop. Our students are encouraged to move beyond education, theory and practice, and into the creation and performance of music, either publicly or privately.
With a location that can serve Wildwood, Eureka, Ballwin, Ellisville, Chesterfield, Town & Country, Creve Coeur, Manchester and much more, our school has a vision large enough to include the area’s respective public, parochial and private school districts. While we certainly have a paradigm and philosophy of mentoring young musicians Pre-K through the 12th grade, we also take time to continue working with the adult learner too. Please take a moment to review our website and consider how we can best serve your family’s educational and inspirational needs regarding the fascinating world of music. Contact us anytime with your questions or to begin a new musical journey for a child, teenager, adult or even the whole family.
