While at Drake University, Justin was the Principle Chair for the Symphony Orchestra, Marching Band and Wind Symphony. With the latter ensemble, he performed on two recordings and during one tour. Along with percussive studies, he attended classes in Music Theory, Ear Training and Studio Teaching Techniques. Justin has also gained experience as a private instructor in the St. Louis County area.

Before teaching the guitar over a decade ago, Matthew attended Meramec and Webster University as a student of the Jazz Performance program. He has taught consistently since then, performed in solo, duo, ensemble settings, Worship team member and leader, wrote original compositions that cover genres ranging from Latin jazz, blues, rock to reggae, recorded occasionally and continues to develop a comprehensive curriculum for the modern student of the guitar.

Steve began playing at age 12 and has been learning, playing and performing consistently since his introduction to the instrument. After High School, Steve graduated in 1990 from the well known Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T.) located in California. He has studied with Carl Verheyen, Jamie Glaser, Shawn Lane, Imrat Kahn and performed with The Javier Mendoza Band, Ken Hensley, 9 Days Wonder and Akieluz. Having traveled abroad for a few years, Steve has acquired a rich and eclectic taste various musical textures. For over seventeen years, he has shared his extensive background on the guitar with students of all ages.

Betty Jane Ruckman is the founder of St. Louis District 4B, one of the largest chapters of the National Federation of Music Clubs. Through the NFMC, Betty Jane has been able to develop a strong set of teaching skills after mentoring and inspiring piano students for over two decades. She began teaching at age fifteen with the advice of her instructor Dr. Ronald Combs. Not only is Betty Jane a sound piano and harp instructor, she has an equal amount of time invested as church accompanist, organist, worship director and classroom educator at Atonement Lutheran School for grades K-8.

For the past twelve years, Ms. McCallie has taught private flute lessons to students of all ages and levels. She has studied with many accomplished instructors on a postgraduate and professional level. Former Principal Flutist of the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Principia College Orchestra, Ms. McCallie was also a member of both the Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble at The University of Missouri-Kansas City. A member of the Principia Jazz Band for three years, she played alto, tenor, and bari saxophone. Solo flute performances include two Master’s recitals, four Undergraduate recitals, and a solo appearance with the Principia College Orchestra. Playing flute, piccolo, clarinet, and saxophone, Ms. McCallie has performed in musicals such as West Side Story, Beauty and the Beast, The Music Man, Good News, and many others. Ms. McCallie is currently band director at Christ, Prince of Peace School and private flute instructor at The Principia School.
